Eric and Dawn: Elopement on Par

It’s gonna be just us, six others, and the officiant.

On the golf course.

At Sunrise.

I nodded and grinned in agreement as Dawn and I discussed her vision. I was thrilled to here how “them” they wanted their elopement to be. She used words like fun and laid back. I was on board.

The morning of, It rained. In torrents.

I prepped my umbrella and rain coat, and said a prayer.

I sent a quick barometer check. “If you want to use tomorrow as a rain date- I’m flexible. And I’m also gearing for the rain.”

“Everything is still a go. We’ll move the vows under the awning- no stress here!”

We checked the forecast for later in the week and agreed to do a day 2 and capture their couple photos on the greens as envisioned.

Rain, laughter, tears, and a random belting of a Johnny Cash Song- it was everything they dreamed it would be. “It was Us”, they said. And that’s all that mattered.
